چکیده
Previous studies on fine and gross motor skills of children with childhood apraxia speech (CAS) have reported inconclusive results. In this study, we investigate the abilities CAS by focusing three distinct factors: control during movement, skills/handwriting, general coordination. Participants included 25 20 age-matched typically developing (TD) between ages 5 7 years. Motor were evaluated using a parent questionnaire - Croatian version The Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire (DCDQ-HR). Compared to TD children, those showed significantly poorer overall ability based DCDQ-HR, as well all Even though their results worse than they still within range that indicates normal abilities. Among factors considered, exhibited significant problems skills/handwriting. Children may not be categorised deficits, but exhibit poor abilities, especially skills, compared children. This study supports premise co-occurring language impairment is an important variable consider when discussing in CAS.

OBJECTIVE This study describes the phenotype in a large family with a strong, multigenerational history of severe speech sound disorder (SSD) persisting into adolescence and adulthood in approximately half the cases. Aims were to determine whether a core phenotype, broader than speech, separated persistent from resolved SSD cases; and to ascertain the uniqueness of the phenotype relative to pub...

UNLABELLED Forty-two children (29 boys and 13 girls), ages 3-10 years, were referred from the caseloads of clinical speech-language pathologists for suspected childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). According to results from tests of speech and oral motor skills, 22 children met criteria for CAS, including a severely limited consonant and vowel repertoire, difficulty sequencing syllables, and incons...

PURPOSE Childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) has been associated with a wide variety of diagnostic descriptions and has been shown to involve different symptoms during successive stages of development. In the present study, the authors attempted to associate the symptoms of CAS in a particular developmental stage with particular information-processing deficits by using computational modeling with ...
